Cabin-wide comfort

All seven full-sized seats provide ergonomic support, and the first two rows have three heating levels. With cinema-style seating and plenty of legroom, even the third row feels spacious for people up to 170 cm tall.

Adjust the cabin layout by folding down rear seat backrests individually or in rows. They fold flush with the floor, adding flexibility to the cabin and extra space for cargo.

Practical storage

There’s storage for your things under the upholstered armrest of the centre console. There's also a little storage space under the roll-top cover, plus cupholders for two beverages and a slim can.  

Everyone has a cupholder within easy reach. Second-row passengers have cupholders in the fold-down armrest. There are also cupholders in all third-row armrests.

The third-row armrests and rear side panels have a hidden compartment for stashing small items. Passengers in the first two rows have spacious door bins, too. They're big enough to hold a 1.5-litre bottle. 

Panoramic roof

The roof stretches from the windscreen to behind the rear seats, flooding the cabin with natural light. The dark-tinted laminated glass helps reduce glare and noise inside the cabin. It also strengthens the glass for added security.

Press a button on the front-row ceiling console to open the roof and let fresh air flow inside. If you forget to close it after parking, do it remotely with your key fob.

When the sun gets too intense, roll out the power-operated sunshade. It’s a perforated textile that lets in light to keep the cabin bright but not overheated. You can set it to automatically deploy when temperatures reach 25°C.

Cabin ambience

Premium interior illumination comes standard in the XC90.

Unlock the car, and the cabin comes to life. General, footwell and mood lights welcome you on board. Open any door to spark ambient lighting on the dashboard and door panels. As you step in, look for embedded graphics and a gleaming Volvo Cars logotype on the instep plates.

Cabin illumination not only elevates cabin ambience, it also adds convenience. Rear seat reading lamps have shades to avoid distracting the driver. Lights in the cupholders and door bins help you find things in the dark. And a tailgate working light helps you load up at night. 

Bowers & Wilkins High Fidelity Audio System

Select the premium Bowers & Wilkins High Fidelity Audio System to listen to music as the artist intended. It uses industry-leading technologies to maximise 19 precisely tuned Hi-Fi speakers, plus an innovative Fresh Air Subwoofer ™. The result is exceptional audio for everyone in the cabin. Total power: 1410 watts 

Bowers & Wilkins is optional on the Ultra trim.

System highlights

Directed sound
Tweeter-on-Top elevates the overall quality of the car’s sound system throughout the cabin. This centrally mounted speaker sits on the dashboard facing into the cabin. Its position relays sound directly towards the car’s occupants, reducing coloration?from sound reflected off the windscreen. 

Bowers & Wilkins Nautilus™
